Stalemate in Armagh

Both Highmoss matches ended level in an exciting day's football at Morgan Athletic Grounds on Saturday afternoon. The U16 final ended 2-08 each, after Sarsfields led by a point at half time.
In the senior match, the Highmoss were behind 0-08 to 0-03 at half time, though Cruppen had wind advantage. Sarsfields pulled the lead back and led after a Michael Stevenson goal. The Hoops pushed three ahead and they could have edged further in front. Cruppen in a good spell came back and it took a superb save from Darren McAvoy to hold them at bay. Three late points levelled the match, the equalising point coming agonisingly in injury time. It's back to Armagh next Sunday for both teams. Well done to the county board for the live Internet coverage allowing Highmoss men abroad and closer to home to follow the match.
