Strong Rostrevor Challenge for Sarsfields U16 Team

The U16's travelled to Petitt Park Rostrevor on Sunday to play a very strong Naomh Brónagh side. Sarsfields were well beaten with the home side dominant in the first half. However the management were very happy with Sarsfields' second half display. It was a much better second half performance and this showed great character. Undoubtedly the team will have gained confidence from this performance and hopefully they can display this sort of attitude during the league.

Before the game the team met with college star Caolan Mooney. Caolan scored two goals in the MacRory Final and two goals in the Hogan Semi-Final. He will be playing in Croke Park in the Hogan Cup Final this Saturday. He played in the 2010 Hogan winning St. Colman's team along with our own Colin Stevenson. Caolan will be travelling to Australia to take up a professional contract with AFL side Collingwood.
